Requirements for Relinquishing your companion Cockatoo to 'TooHaven:
PLEASE NOTE: Our primary goal is to assist you in any way possible in keeping your companion Cockatoo. If this is not possible and relinquishing your companion to us is your last option, we require the following:
You must provide your Avian Veterinarian information with proof of same at the time of relinquishment. If you do not regularly see an Avian Vet, we require proof that your bird has seen a Certified Avian Vet prior to relinquishment to 'TooHaven. You can contact us for what we require your vet check/test for. This is required for the safety of our other flock members. You can locate an avian vet in your area by using the link provided in our links page.
You must relinquish your companion with his/her cage and complete our Relinquishment/Intake Form.
It is important to be as honest as possible to the caregiver when relinquishing your bird. The more we know about your bird the better able we are to provide a proper, adequate and enriching environment, especially if your bird has behavioral, emotional or medical issues.
